Giving Pricing

Planning Center Giving is priced by the total number of donations processed (online, cash, check, or Text-to-Give) in a month. If you process 500 physical donations, it's the same price as processing 200 physical donations + 300 online donations.

Typically, about 17% of churchgoers donate. So, to get your average number of monthly donations, multiply [your weekly attendance] x .17 x 4.3 (average weeks in a month). Our handy calculator can help you find the average as well.

There are no contracts or setup fees, and each application can be used for 30 days without charge. After 30 days, you'll receive your first charge based on the pricing you choose.

Subscribe to the app or change your current plan on the Applications Page. When creating your account, choose the pricing package that fits your organization the best:

We never prevent people from giving, even if it exceeds your subscription. Instead, we'll email your Organization Administrator recommending you upgrade.

Once you're finished with your trial, you will be billed according to the frequency on the Billing Page. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time, and the change will be reflected on the next invoice.

30-Day Trial

During your tial, you'll need to set up your Stripe account since Giving uses Stripe for processing as well as secure stroage and anonymous retrieval of donor payment methods.

All transactions are processed as Live transactions by Stripe, which means if your Payments Settings isn't set to LIVE for Cards, your Giving transactions will not come through. Set your Payments Settings to LIVE as soon as you create your account:

If you decide Giving isn't right for you, you can refund the donations given during your trial.

Payment Processing Fees

Processing digital payments (credit cards, debit cards, and ACH bank transfers) always incurs a cost. We've negotiated a low rate with Stripe.

United States:

  • Credit & debit cards: 2.3% + $0.30 per transaction.
  • ACH (bank transfer): $0.25 per transfer.


Send documentation of non-profit status to Stripe to be able to secure the lower rate.

  • Canadian Visa and Mastercard: 2.9% (or 2.2% for non-profits) + $0.30 per transaction
  • International Visa and MasterCard: 2.9% (or 2.7% for non-profits) + $0.30 per transaction
  • Amex: 3.5% + $0 per transaction

Stripe has no setup fees, no contracts, and no termination fees. There is a $1 fee for failed ACH transfers. In cases where a donor disputes a charge with their bank (also called a "chargeback"), losing the dispute could result in a $15 fee. If the donor contacts you first, it's easy to issue a refund right from within Giving. So, in practice, this should be a rare occurrence. Fees are in $USD.
